Manila, Philippines – Senator Francis Pangilinan on Sunday, January 9, admitted that he had self-isolated from his family after testing positive for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

He said he was surprised by the aforementioned result of his RT-PCR (Reverse Transciption-Polymerase Chain Reaction) test that he obtained last Saturday night.
“Surprised because I have zero symptoms. No cold or cough. No itchy throat. I was even able to run on the treadmill and do yoga stretching exercises last night before I learned of the test results,” Pangilinan said in his Instagram post.
Aside from the senator, his wife Sharon Cuneta and children are also undergoing self-isolation at their home.
