Pasig City, Philippines – Following the surge of coronavirus (COVID-19) disease after the holiday season, Pasig City recorded nearly 2,000 active cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, January 9.

Exactly 1,869 cases have been recorded in the city, according to the local government.
This is a weekend increase of 787 cases compared to the 1,082 recorded cases of COVID-19 on Friday, January 7th.
The cases came from barangays San Miguel (186), Manggahan (185), Ugong (139), Rosario (132), Pinagbuhatan (112), Dela Paz (110), and Sta. Lucia (94).
