Department of Health (DOH) Secretary Francisco Duque III heads the Philippine delegation in attending the Side Event on Alcohol, NCDs (Non-Communicable Diseases) and Sustainable Development during the 73rd Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) at the UN Headquarters in New York on September 28, 2018. Secretary Duque serves as one of the UN Member States representatives who are asked to “share experiences and best practices from countries around the world in implementing the Global Strategy to reduce the harmful use of alcohol and address their need for continued technical support and advocacy efforts to advance their actions.” The Philippines is one of the co-sponsors of the Side Event.
